Dubai Police Unveils New Fleet of Luxury Supercars

The Dubai Police Department has expanded its impressive fleet with several high-performance luxury vehicles, showcasing its commitment to security and tourism. Among the latest additions are the Lotus Emeya, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and Lamborghini Urus, all designed to make a bold statement on the streets of Dubai.

During a recent event held at the iconic landmark known as 'The Frame,' the police revealed their latest acquisition, the Lotus Emeya, a powerful electric vehicle boasting 918 horsepower. This unveiling took place against a backdrop of soaring temperatures exceeding 38 degrees, yet the atmosphere remained vibrant with energy as officers proudly showcased their new rides.

The Dubai Police fleet is now comprised of 18 luxury vehicles, including renowned brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Tesla, Bentley, BMW, Audi, and Mercedes. These supercars are primarily utilized in high-traffic tourist areas and during public events, serving as both a deterrent to crime and a means of engaging with visitors. While the police emphasize that these vehicles are not typically used for emergency responses, they play a crucial role in maintaining a visible presence in popular tourist destinations.

According to an officer, the Dubai Police's role extends beyond traditional law enforcement; they serve as ambassadors for the city, enhancing the tourist experience and ensuring safety. With an investment of around one million dirhams (approximately 250,000 euros) for each vehicle, the police rotate drivers every eight hours, allowing multiple officers to experience the thrill of operating these luxury machines.

One standout vehicle in the fleet is the Lamborghini Urus Performante, equipped with a formidable 666 horsepower engine. The police chief highlighted the importance of such vehicles in enhancing security and visibility in areas frequented by tourists. Lamborghini has a longstanding partnership with the Dubai Police, providing high-speed cars that are both functional and visually striking.

Each vehicle in the fleet is outfitted with essential equipment, including emergency lights, secure storage for firearms, first-aid kits, and even defibrillators. Officers undergo training on all models to ensure they are proficient in handling these sophisticated machines.
