Driver overrun by driverless van

Munich. A 74 year old driver was overrun by his own van because he started his car from the outside. He is now being treated in a hospital.

He was about to leave the premises at Lochhausener Straße when the accident happened. The 74 year old man stood at the driver's door when he started his car, but an engaged gear caused a jumpy start and set the car in motion. The man fell backwards onto the ground and the van rolled over his right leg. The lorry hit a pick-up van before it was stopped by a utility shed.
The trucker sustained a compound fracture and was brought to a hospital by an ambulance.
