29-Year-Old Driver Flees Authorities on A7 Without License

Neumünster - A 29-year-old man caused a stir on the A7 highway when he was apprehended driving a rental car without a valid driver's license. On July 29, 2025, around 10:00 AM, several motorists reported a vehicle exhibiting reckless driving behavior, which included overtaking on the right and suddenly braking in front of other cars.

The Neumünster police attempted to pull the vehicle over; however, the driver attempted to evade capture. Despite his efforts, law enforcement successfully intercepted the car near Großenaspe.

Upon being stopped, the driver initially provided false identification details, claiming he had forgotten his official documents in Denmark. The vehicle in question, a BMW M8 Competition boasting 635 horsepower, was confirmed to have been used without authorization. The rental company verified that the individual was not permitted to operate the vehicle, resulting in its seizure.

Following a request to verify his identity, the driver revealed his true personal details and presented a passport. It was disclosed that he had never obtained a driver's license. Consequently, the police initiated criminal proceedings against him for endangering public safety, driving without a license, and unauthorized vehicle use. Additionally, an administrative violation was filed due to his false identification.
