Dortmund - Authorities have reported a significant incident at the Dortmund central train station involving a 16-year-old boy. On July 26, law enforcement officers from the federal police conducted a routine check of the teenager, which led to the discovery of prohibited substances.
The inspection took place around 5:15 PM when the young individual presented his identification. Due to existing regulations regarding the possession of dangerous items, the officers proceeded with a search of the teenager's belongings.
During the search, police uncovered a vial of testosterone, a syringe with a needle, and a canister of pepper spray. The pepper spray was confiscated, while the testosterone and syringe were seized as evidence. The teenager remained uncommunicative regarding the allegations.
Following the initial investigation, he was escorted to the police station, where his parents were notified. They consented to his independent release after the necessary procedures were completed. Consequently, an inquiry was launched into the matter, focusing on a suspected violation of anti-doping regulations.
This incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding doping and the use of performance-enhancing substances among minors. Authorities are continuing their efforts to combat drug abuse in sports and ensure the safety of young athletes.
