Heroic Rescue: Dog Saved After Floating 20 Kilometers in Canal

A remarkable rescue operation took place recently in Töging, Bavaria, where a dog named Mia was saved after drifting approximately 20 kilometers in the Inn Canal.

The incident began on a Sunday afternoon when a cyclist alerted authorities about a dog that had fallen into the canal. Miraculously, just before the rescuers arrived, Mia managed to reach a sandbank, avoiding potentially fatal circumstances.

Once safely on the sandbank, Mia, although exhausted, was found to be unharmed by the rescue team. It was later revealed that her owner had been actively searching for her on social media after Mia had escaped from a garden in Jettenbach, located in the district of Mühldorf. After falling into the canal, Mia had been reported missing.
