Cyclist Injured in Bonn After Tripping Over Backpack

Bonn - A cyclist suffered injuries following an accident on Poppelsdorfer Allee, prompting local authorities to seek witnesses.

On September 10, 2025, at approximately 10:22 AM, a 34-year-old cyclist was riding along the designated bike path headed towards Prinz-Alberst-Straße. During his ride, he issued a warning signal to alert two pedestrians who were walking on the bike lane.

As he approached house number 25, the cyclist became entangled with a backpack belonging to one of the pedestrians, causing him to lose balance and fall. The cyclist sustained injuries and was subsequently transported to a hospital for outpatient treatment.

The two pedestrians involved in the incident, a young man and woman both in their early twenties, left the scene before authorities arrived. The police are now appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed the accident or can provide details about the individuals involved.
