Caroline Wahl, a bestselling author, has expressed her admiration for Kiel, the capital of Schleswig-Holstein, describing the city as vibrant and appealing. In a recent piece for a major publication, she shared her personal connection to this coastal city, stating that her move to Kiel has been transformative.

Originally from Mainz, Wahl moved to Kiel in October of the previous year and has since developed a strong affinity for the area. She reflects on her lifelong desire to live by the sea, noting that hearing about others residing in coastal cities like Greifswald, Stralsund, and Rostock often sparked feelings of envy.

Wahl has conducted over a hundred readings across Germany for her book "22 Bahnen," which allowed her to explore various regions, including Oberbayern and Bremerhaven. However, it is Kiel that has captured her heart, leading her to believe she might stay for an extended period.

She appreciates the relaxed atmosphere of Kiel, which tends to remain low-key except during events like the renowned Kieler Woche, a maritime festival. Wahl enjoys the proximity to the beach and the ease of reaching nearby coastal areas. She particularly cherishes the Kiellinie, a scenic promenade located in the Düsternbrook and Wik neighborhoods, where she finds herself immersed in a delightful community.

Wahl's latest book, titled "Die Assistentin," is set to be released on August 28 by Rowohlt, further establishing her presence in the literary world while celebrating her new home.
