76-Year-Old Woman Struck by Tram in Bremen

Bremen - A tragic incident occurred in Schwachhausen, Bremen, when a 76-year-old woman was struck by a tram on August 5, 2025, at approximately 12:10 PM. The elderly pedestrian was attempting to cross the road on Am Stern after leaving the nearby Bürgerpark. Unfortunately, she reportedly overlooked a red traffic light and did not notice the approaching tram.

The tram driver, a 59-year-old man, attempted to avert the collision by executing an emergency brake maneuver; however, he was unable to prevent the impact.
