Zelensky says US intelligence sharing on Russian strikes now functioning after Oslo talks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that US intelligence sharing regarding deadly Russian missile attacks is now operating normally, following discussions with US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff in Oslo.

The meeting took place after Kyiv had accused Washington of holding back important intelligence, an allegation that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio had dismissed as outrageous.

Finnish President Alexander Stubb, who also attended the Oslo talks, indicated that real progress had been achieved on peace proposals, though he did not disclose specifics and cautioned that further patience would be required.

Zelensky and European allies indicated that the next move lies with Russia, which is expected to respond to the proposals discussed in Oslo when Witkoff travels to St Petersburg on Wednesday.

Witkoff did not attend the joint press conference following Tuesday's talks in the Norwegian capital. Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law and another senior envoy, joined the meeting remotely via video link.

A US official later characterised the discussions as highly productive and constructive, noting strong alignment at the working level between the US, Ukraine and European partners regarding upcoming steps.

The official also confirmed that Witkoff is scheduled to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Russia the following day to discuss the proposals, with Kushner again participating via video link.
