Brandenburg Sees Significant Increase in University Graduations

Brandenburg has recorded a notable rise in the number of successful university graduates in recent years. According to the latest data from the Berlin-Brandenburg Statistical Office, nearly 10,900 degree examinations were successfully completed in 2024, marking the highest number ever recorded. This figure represents an increase of approximately 2,500 successful examinations compared to 2023.

The substantial growth in graduation rates is largely attributed to a surge in certificate completions at the Brandenburg University of Technology. These certificates often represent partial qualifications and typically require only a few semesters of study. Approximately 34,000 degree examinations were completed during the 2024 academic year, which is a reduction of 75 from the previous year.
