The Botanic Garden is once again being transformed into a festive wonderland with the return of its renowned Christmas light spectacle. Beginning on November 19, visitors can experience a vibrant display of illuminated installations that will brighten the expansive grounds throughout the holiday season.
The event features over 30 unique light installations spread along a two-kilometer path, offering a visually engaging experience for guests of all ages. Among the highlights are a choreographed fountain show, a sprawling illuminated field covering approximately 3,000 square meters, and a tree that lights up in synchronization with music, creating a multisensory attraction.
Families visiting the garden can look forward to a variety of child-friendly activities. Special features tailored for younger guests include glowing cotton candy and interactive displays designed to enhance the festive atmosphere. The event aims to offer entertainment and enjoyment for both adults and children, making it an ideal family outing during the winter season.
In addition to the light installations, a Christmas village has been set up in front of the Grand Tropical House. Here, visitors can enjoy traditional seasonal treats such as mulled wine and punch, as well as a variety of culinary offerings. The village provides a meeting point for guests to relax and take in the festive ambiance after exploring the illuminated trails.
The Christmas light event will be open through January 11, with tickets available for purchase. Adult admission begins at 16.90 euros, while tickets for children start at 12.50 euros. The Botanic Garden, known for its extensive plant collection featuring nearly 20,000 species across 43 hectares, serves as a picturesque backdrop for this annual celebration.
This seasonal attraction not only highlights the garden's natural beauty but also provides a unique way for the community to come together and celebrate the winter holidays. Visitors are encouraged to secure tickets in advance, as the event is known to attract significant interest from both locals and tourists.
The illuminated trail and accompanying activities reflect the garden's commitment to offering engaging, family-friendly events that celebrate the festive spirit. As the days grow shorter, the sparkling lights and vibrant displays offer a welcome escape and a memorable holiday experience for all who attend.
