Body Discovered in the Main River Near Kelsterbach

Kelsterbach - Authorities are investigating a perplexing case following the discovery of a deceased individual in the Main River. On July 18, 2025, staff from the Main Waterways and Shipping Authority uncovered the body near the Eddersheimer Lock. Emergency services were called to the scene to retrieve the remains from the water, but the deceased man's identity remains unknown.

Current investigations have not revealed any indications of foul play or criminal activity. The Rüsselsheim Criminal Police Department, specifically the 10th Department, has taken charge of the case and is actively seeking witnesses who may assist in identifying the individual.

The deceased is described as being approximately 1.80 meters tall and weighing around 80 kilograms. He has medium-length brown-blond hair and was found wearing a gray-brown shirt from the brand McNeal in size XL, along with gray shorts and dark blue-gray shoes featuring the Tommy Jeans logo. Notably, there are no distinctive tattoos or scars present on his body.
