Altenlotheim - On a Sunday afternoon, a woman stumbled upon blood-stained clothing in a forested area, prompting her to alert the authorities. The discovery was made around 5:50 PM, near the residential area known as "Am Heckenacker." Concerned by the suspicious nature of the find, she immediately contacted the Frankenberg police station.

In response to the alarming report, the police initiated extensive search operations, as there was a possibility that an injured individual could be in the woods. Numerous firefighters from the nearby towns of Frankenau, Vöhl, Waldeck, and Korbach joined the search efforts. Additionally, drones operated by the Waldeck-Sachsenhausen and Korbach fire departments, as well as the National Park Office, were deployed to assist in the investigation.

Several police search dogs and volunteers from the North Hesse Rescue Dog Team bolstered the search, which continued until midnight. Despite these diligent efforts, no injured person was located in the vicinity.

Later that evening, tests conducted on the blood found on the clothing indicated that it belonged to an animal. Consequently, law enforcement concluded that no individuals had been harmed and deemed that no criminal activity had occurred.
