Common strategies include stealing bags that are left unattended on shopping carts or walkers. In many instances, these criminals work in pairs, with one individual distracting the victim while another discreetly takes their belongings.

Pickpocketing remains a significant concern for both residents and visitors in Berlin, impacting their sense of security. Through this initiative, the police aim to inform the public about the common tricks used by thieves and provide effective behavioral tips to avoid becoming a victim.
