Berlin has officially renamed a prominent street in honor of former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, following a lengthy period of discussion and planning. The Hofjägerallee, located in the Mitte district, has now become Helmut-Kohl-Allee, with the unveiling timed to coincide with Europe Day. The renaming process required the installation of four new street signs, a task deemed manageable within the district's budget.
