Atlas Copco to Cut Jobs at German Facility Amid Automotive Industry Challenges

The German subsidiary of the Swedish industrial group Atlas Copco has announced workforce reductions at its Bretten site in Baden-Württemberg, in response to ongoing difficulties within the automotive sector. Atlas Copco ISA GmbH, located in Bretten in the Karlsruhe district, specializes in joining technologies for the automotive industry. The site is one of several production units under the German division, Atlas Copco Holding GmbH, headquartered in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia. Across Germany, the group employs over 6,200 people, while the parent company, based in Nacka near Stockholm, Sweden, has a global workforce exceeding 55,000 and reported revenues of around 16 billion euros in 2024.
