Multiple Residents Rescued from Apartment Fire in Gesundbrunnen

In the early hours of Sunday morning, a fire broke out in the basement of a seven-story residential building located on Badstraße in Gesundbrunnen, Berlin. The incident prompted a swift response from local firefighters, who successfully evacuated 46 residents using aerial ladders.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the residents, despite the rapid spread of smoke throughout the building. As the fire alarm sounded, many occupants signaled for help from windows and balconies, drawing the attention of emergency services.

Firefighters deployed two aerial ladders to facilitate the rescue operation, ensuring that all individuals trapped inside were brought to safety. In total, approximately 50 people were examined by medical personnel at the scene for any smoke inhalation or stress-related issues. The fire was quickly extinguished, limiting damage to the property.
