In a troubling incident on Monday afternoon, a 28-year-old man caused significant disruption in Berlin-Marienfelde, resulting in damage to vehicles and a confrontation with law enforcement. Witnesses reported that the man was observed kicking the side mirror of a parked car along Daimlerstraße, inflicting visible damage.

Following this act, the individual escalated his behavior by endangering other road users. Eyewitnesses claimed he threw a construction sign onto the roadway, prompting a cyclist to swerve to avoid a collision. The situation intensified when police arrived on the scene and attempted to detain the man, who continued to exhibit aggressive behavior.

As the officers attempted to manage the situation, the suspect reportedly bit one of the officers on the hand and attempted to strike another with a headbutt, all while verbally abusing the police. A voluntary breathalyzer test indicated a blood alcohol concentration of 1.5 per mille, suggesting a substantial level of intoxication.

To ascertain the man's identity, he was taken to a police station and subsequently transferred to the psychiatric unit of a hospital for further evaluation. One of the officers involved in the incident sustained injuries and opted to conclude their shift early. Investigations into the man's actions are currently ongoing.
