AfD Politicians Allegedly Met with Neo-Nazis in Switzerland

Recent investigations have unveiled that several politicians from Germany's Alternative for Germany (AfD) party reportedly convened with members of extremist neo-Nazi organizations in Switzerland. This meeting is said to have occurred in mid-December and focused on the contentious topic of 'remigration.'

According to findings by the investigative network Correctiv, which utilized undercover reporting techniques, the gathering included notable figures such as Lena Kotré, a politician from Brandenburg, and Roger Beckamp, a Bundestag representative from the AfD. Participants were also linked to the banned 'Blood & Honour' movement in Germany and the Swiss extremist group known as 'Junge Tat,' both of which are monitored for their violent tendencies by authorities in both countries.

The meeting took place in Kloten, near Zurich, and, while publicly advertised, was conducted under stringent security measures. It has been reported that some attendees were discreetly transported to the event's location from a hidden rendezvous point.

One of the central issues discussed during the gathering was the concept of 'remigration.' Kotré reportedly elaborated on her perspectives during the session. She suggested that naturalized Germans who do not adhere to laws and regulations should have their citizenship revoked. Kotré described 'remigration' as a pivotal strategy that could potentially influence unfavorable electoral outcomes.

In her remarks, she referenced various political decisions, including a proposed ban on pork products and the issue of teachers wearing headscarves, as topics that could be affected by remigration policies. Furthermore, Kotré advocated for a privatized deportation industry and proposed the utilization of DNA testing and language samples to ascertain the regions of origin for asylum seekers.

This revelation is not the first instance of Correctiv disclosing information about the AfD's interactions with extremist groups. Earlier reports indicated that AfD politicians had previously engaged in secretive meetings with right-wing extremists in Potsdam, where discussions also centered around the mass expulsion of individuals from Germany. These incidents have sparked widespread protests against right-wing extremism across the country.

The AfD has faced mounting scrutiny regarding its ties to extremist elements, raising concerns about the implications of such associations for democratic processes and societal cohesion in Germany.

As the situation develops, further investigations and public discourse are anticipated regarding the implications of these meetings and the broader context of right-wing extremism in Europe.
