Frankfurt - Police apprehended three individuals on Friday evening following an incident where one of them allegedly threatened passersby with a pepper gun. The alarming event unfolded around 8:50 PM when a witness reported seeing a person inside a vehicle pointing a weapon at pedestrians. The vehicle was later located on Berliner Straße.

In response to the report, law enforcement launched a comprehensive search operation, successfully stopping the described vehicle at the intersection of Rathenauplatz and Goethestraße. Upon inspecting the car, officers found three men inside, who were then subjected to a thorough check. Notably, a pepper gun was discovered on the passenger seat, while the driver was found to be in possession of a blank-firing pistol in his jacket pocket.

A pepper gun is a self-defense device that disperses chili-based irritants and is often designed to resemble a real firearm. This incident has raised concerns about public safety, and as a result, legal proceedings have been initiated against the primary suspect for making threats. The blank-firing pistol was confiscated as part of the investigation.

The quick and coordinated response by the police highlights their commitment to ensuring community safety and addressing potential threats efficiently. Authorities are urging anyone with additional information regarding the incident to come forward.
