S-Bahn delays caused by maintenance work

Due to short-term overhead line work between Munich-Isartor and Munich-Marienplatz on January 21st 2019, there are still disturbances in S-Bahn traffic. The S-Bahn trains operate as follows:

The S 1 Freising/Airport line starts and ends in Moosach. Passengers can use the U 2 Feldmoching or U 3 Moosach subway lines.

The S 2 Petershausen/Altomünster-Erding line is diverted between Obermenzing and Munich East and the main line is not approached. The stops Leuchtenbergring and Berg am Laim are omitted.

The line S 3 in or from the direction of Mammendorf starts at Munich Hauptbahnhof (central station), track 27-36. The stop Hackerbrücke is omitted.

The line S 3 in or from the direction of Holzkirchen starts and ends at Munich East (Ostbahnhof). Subway line U 5 can be used from there.

The line S 4 Geltendorf starts at Munich Hauptbahnhof (central station), track 27-36. The stop Hackerbrücke is omitted.

The S 6 Tutzing-Ebersberg line is operating on the main route as usual.

The line S 7 in or from the direction of Wolfratshausen starts and ends at Heimeranplatz. Subway line U 5 can be used from there.

The line S 7 in or from the direction of Kreuzstrasse starts and ends at Giesing. Alternatively, the subway lines U 2 to Giesing or U 5 to Neuperlach Süd can be used.

The line S 8 Herrsching - airport is diverted between Munich-Pasing and Munich East and the main line is not approached. The stop Leuchtenbergring is omitted.

The line S 20 Munich-Pasing - Höllriegelskreuth is not operating at all..

 

DB tickets are also accepted for transport of the MVG (metro, bus, tram) for the duration of the disturbances.

It is annoying that I have to find this out in the media and not by any other way, Deutsche Bahn. Thanks Alexandra, you saved me a painful journey today.
