Munich. Outdoor swimming season starts on 1st of May. This year open door swimming is different: the water is chlorine-free and a sandy beach is offered by eight outdoor pools.

On Saturday Schyrenbad and Dante-Freibad open their doors. A week later, on 8 May Westbad, Michaelibad, Georgenschwaige, Prinzregentenbad and Ungererbad follow. All outdoor pools are open from May to September from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m., and from May to August on hot days till 8 p.m. Even during bad weather there are four outdoor pools that are always open: Schyrenbad, Prinzregentenbad, Ungererbad  and Bad Georgenschwaige.

In all pools the admission fee for adults will cost '‚¬ 3.50 and '‚¬ 2.60 for children. Children under six years gain free admittance to all outdoor pools. If younger swimmers have a holiday pass, they can swim for free during summer holidays.
