Woman Arrested for Shoplifting at Hamburg Main Station
In a recent incident at the Hamburg Main Station, law enforcement officials apprehended a 40-year-old woman who was wanted under an arrest warrant. The woman was caught stealing various personal care products from a drugstore located within the station premises.
The theft was noticed by a vigilant store detective, who promptly intervened and detained the suspect until the arrival of federal police. Upon searching her belongings, authorities discovered the stolen items concealed in her bag.
Following a verification of her identity, it was revealed that the woman had been on the run since February 2025 due to previous theft-related offenses. She had failed to pay a fine amounting to 750 euros and did not comply with a required court appearance.
As a consequence of her actions, the woman now faces a substitute imprisonment of 57 days. A medical professional confirmed her fitness for detention, and after completing police formalities, she was transferred to a correctional facility.
Additionally, a new criminal case has been opened against her on suspicion of theft. The Hamburg Federal Police Investigation Service will be handling further inquiries into the matter.
