Judith Rakers Embraces Unique Berlin Nightlife Experience

Judith Rakers, known for her previous role as a serious news presenter on 'Tagesschau', recently shared an intriguing story about her adventurous night out in Berlin. In a candid discussion on a podcast, she recounted an unexpected evening marked by whimsicality and freedom, reflecting the vibrant and diverse culture of the city.

During the podcast episode, Rakers revealed that she and her co-host, Ariana Baborie, share a passion for horses which led them to co-create their podcast, 'Baborie & Rakers'. In a light-hearted conversation about their mutual interest, Rakers mentioned her possession of two rubber horse masks purchased from an online fetish store. Initially intended as a humorous birthday gift for a friend, the masks ended up becoming part of an eventful party experience.

After a lively Christmas celebration in Berlin, Rakers and Baborie decided to explore the nightlife further. They ventured into a local bar, donning their quirky rubber masks. Rakers expressed her surprise at the nonchalant reactions of those around them, noting that no one seemed to mind their unconventional attire. "It was fascinating to see how normal it felt in that setting," she remarked, highlighting the openness often found in Berlin.

While Rakers did not recall the name of the bar they visited, she fondly remembered the enjoyment of the evening, mentioning that they even playfully galloped around the venue, further emphasizing the carefree atmosphere. Her takeaway from the night was a sense of appreciation for the diverse experiences that Berlin has to offer.

The 49-year-old Rakers concluded her tenure as a 'Tagesschau' presenter in early 2024, transitioning to various other roles, including co-hosting the talk show '3 nach 9' and producing documentary formats for NDR. Additionally, she manages a garden supply business located on Rügen Island, illustrating her multifaceted career beyond journalism.
