Gevelsberg: Police Discover Knife During Nighttime Check on Young Man
In Gevelsberg, authorities apprehended an 18-year-old man in the early hours of Friday after discovering a dangerous knife in his possession. The incident occurred around 1:50 AM at the main train station, where federal police noticed a group of young men engaging in loud behavior while consuming alcohol on platform two.
During a routine check, officers approached the 18-year-old for questioning. Initially, he denied carrying any hazardous items. However, upon further investigation, police found a one-handed knife concealed in his waist pouch. This type of knife can be opened and closed with one hand using a special mechanism located on the blade.
The young man was unable to provide a legitimate reason for possessing the knife, leading the federal police to seize the weapon. Subsequently, an administrative procedure was initiated against him for violating weapon regulations.

Law enforcement agencies remain vigilant and proactive in their efforts to maintain order and prevent potential threats in the community.
