Willy Michl
On December 25, 2025, Willy Michl will once again perform for his audience at Lustspielhaus, located in the artist district of Munich, where it all began over 50 summers and winters ago; his stage has always meant the world. Every Christmas, Willy brings the traditional Isarindianer Christmas upon request, celebrated for decades with Till Hofmann. Willy expresses that meeting the Yediritter audience fulfills a lifelong dream. When he sings for them, he envisions the wild horses, feathered friends, mountains, and snow, the eagle soaring above, and the animals in the meadows. He encounters spirits, including a bear coming up the Isar valley, swimming with him in the pool where the little snake awaits. He believes it was the Isar that gifted him his song. The Isar is a goddess that has given life here long before humans existed. The melodies of ISARFLIMMERN and all of his songs originated from this river. OIS IS BLUES and the rock 'n' roll of his city are intertwined in his being; he will never leave his homeland Bayern, residing by the river. If he were to die, he wishes his heart to be buried at the bend of the river, there at the Flaucher, Rossgumpe/Schinderbrücke. His heart will flow wide in the river, and together with his audience, they unite their hearts into one great Isarindianer heart. Their heartbeat resonates like thunder over the land, through forests and lakes, symbolizing the heartbeat of freedom and free spirit; this is what the Bavarians call him, SOUND OF THUNDER. His concerts have been absolutely UNPLUGGED since July 2023. As long as his wild heart beats, he will sing for freedom, with love, respect, and honor for the Earth and all its beings. When faced with the choice of 'security or freedom,' he will always choose freedom. This has been echoed since the days of Woodstock - FREEDOM UP - FREEDOM. He sings his blues along the road of rock 'n' roll, his ballads capturing an entire era of singer-songwriters and songwriters across summers and winters in Bavaria and the world. For over 50 summers and winters, he has birthed Bavarian Blues, a genre he proudly claims. COME & SEE & LISTEN TO THE MUSIC - Lila Wahsdé (dakota/Hochwürdigste Grüße an Alle)!
