Muffatwerk

The 19th edition of the International DANCE Festival in Munich will take place from May 22 to June 1, 2025. Over the course of 11 days, the festival will feature 19 productions and 45 performances across 12 venues. Under the leadership of the new artistic director Tobias Staab, the festival aims for artistic intensity and an expanded presence throughout the city. With the support of the City of Munich, the festival has collaborated with institutions and venues that have never participated in DANCE before, including the Volkstheater, Haus der Kunst, LEHNBACHHAUS / KUNSTBAU, and the former riding hall UTOPIA. These venues offer unique opportunities for encounters, free from the traditional stage and audience setup, promising new viewing experiences. The program includes several performative productions at the intersection of dance and visual arts, featuring shows directly in museums and galleries.

Parking: Bicycle racks are available at the entrance of Muffatwerk. Parking for cars and trucks is only allowed for loading and unloading. Therefore, public transport is recommended. There are designated parking spaces for visitors with disabilities at Müller'schen Volksbad (10 spaces) and in the Gasteig garage (19 spaces) available free of charge for those with a disability pass.
