Körperwelten - Am Puls der Zeit

Kleine Olympiahalle

Starting from April 11, 2025, Dr. Gunther von Hagens and curator Dr. Angelina Whalley will present their newest exhibition, "Körperwelten München - Am Puls der Zeit," at the Kleine Olympiahalle in Munich. This exhibition marks the return of the world's most successful anatomical display, which has previously captivated audiences in 2003 and 2014. In this new theme, Dr. Angelina Whalley showcases the human body in various dimensions, highlighting its vulnerabilities and potentials in facing the challenges of the 21st century.

The exhibition invites visitors to critically examine the constant sensory overload of modern life and its long-term effects on both body and mind. Whalley aims to encourage individuals to recognize their responsibility for their health. Beyond explanations on nutrition, exercise, and immune system strengthening, the exhibition illustrates how to achieve a healthy and long life in today's world.

Körperwelten is an exhibition that fundamentally changes the way we view ourselves and our lifestyles. Over 56 million people globally have embarked on this self-discovery journey through the human body. The fascinating real human specimens, including many full-body plastinates, provide comprehensive insights into the complex structure of our inner selves, clearly explaining the functioning and interplay of body systems and organs, as well as common diseases and their origins.

The plastinates displayed in the exhibition originate from the body donation program of the Institute for Plastination in Heidelberg, which has over 21,000 registered donors.
