Festkonzert auf Schloss Schleißheim

Schloss Schleißheim

Experience the spirit of Mozart at the place where the immortal composer himself worked! Bavaria Klassik, Munich's premium event organizer, specializes in unforgettable concert experiences at historic locations where significant events have taken place. Renowned musicians bring the timeless masterpieces of yesteryear to life in original venues where Bavarian rulers welcomed musical legends. This includes the Residenz (Hofkapelle, Cuvilliéstheater, Kaisersaal, Herkulessaal, Allerheiligen Hofkirche) and other nearby palaces (Dachau, Schleißheim, Nymphenburg). The Munich Residence Soloists, alongside members of the Munich Philharmonic, offer extraordinary concert experiences featuring gems of classical music.

The New Palace of Schleißheim, with its splendid Baroque courtyard garden, was constructed by Elector Max Emanuel starting in 1701, modeled after Versailles, in hopes of gaining the imperial dignity. The opulent interior was created by notable artists such as Johann Baptist Zimmermann, Cosmas Damian Asam, and Jacopo Amigoni. The gallery rooms showcase masterpieces of European Baroque painting from the Bavarian State Painting Collections. The courtyard garden, designed according to plans by Dominique Girard, remains largely intact in its Baroque layout.

Performers: Roman Kim - Violin, Giovanni De Angeli - Oboe, and the Residenz-Solisten.

Program: Gioachino Rossini: Overture from 'William Tell', Johannes Brahms: Violin Concerto in D major, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Oboe Concerto in C major, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy: Suite 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', and George Gershwin: 'Summertime'. Program changes reserved.
