Duo Fortezza

This dynamic duo comprises multi-talented accordionist Enrique Ugarte and award-winning saxophonist Koryun Asatryan, who have been collaborating for over 15 years. Their performance, titled "Fiesta!", will showcase works from notable composers including Darius Milhaud, Aram Khachaturian, and Astor Piazzolla, among others.

Enrique Ugarte, a former European and Vice World Champion on the accordion, is not only a performer but also a composer, arranger, and conductor. He has orchestrated numerous film soundtracks and arranged popular pieces for Duo Fortezza, ranging from the "Bolero" to Piazzolla's tangos and the "Saber Dance".

Koryun Asatryan, a celebrated Armenian saxophonist, has received numerous accolades, including the Music Prize from the Association of German Concert Directors. He has performed at prestigious festivals and was a member of the Alliage Quintet, which won two Echo Awards. His artistry has been recognized in a documentary by 3sat.
