Carsten-Caren Lewerentz und Susanne Winter: Werden
On Friday, May 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, the Galerie Bezirk Oberbayern will host an exhibition featuring textile artist Carsten-Caren Lewerentz and sculptor Susanne Winter. Their works explore the concept of 'becoming' as a fundamental question of life.
Lewerentz's sculptures, crafted from wood and bronze, depict discarded clothing, symbolizing empty human forms that can undergo change and renewal. In contrast, Winter creates material-focused color landscapes, employing a sewing machine and embroidery needle on paper. The back-and-forth movement of threads leads to intricate thread drawings with vibrant areas and tactile shapes.
