Architektouren 2025
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, and continuing on June 29, 2025, the Bavarian Chamber of Architects will open the doors to nearly 200 selected projects in architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, and urban planning across Bavaria for the Day of Architecture under this year's motto "Building Diversity".
Architecture shapes our everyday life; without it, our existence is unimaginable. Whether it's single-family homes, multi-story residential buildings, kindergartens, schools, universities, office buildings, community centers, commercial buildings, green spaces, or interiors, every project stems from the creative processes of architects, landscape architects, interior designers, and urban planners. Since 1996, the Architektouren has provided exciting insights into how buildings are created, making it Bavaria's largest showcase of architectural achievements.
On June 28 and 29, 2025, 197 buildings, interiors, outdoor spaces, and urban planning solutions will be open to the public for a behind-the-scenes look! The projects have been selected by an independent advisory board, and this two-day event offers the opportunity to engage with architects of all specialties, their clients, and users on-site.
This year's theme is "Building Diversity". In 2025, participants will also have the chance to demonstrate their Climate Culture Competence through the projects, which will be evaluated based on five sustainability criteria: energy efficiency, climate adaptation, land-saving, accessibility, and additional sustainability aspects. The projects that earn the Climate Culture Competence designation will also be listed online.
The exhibition "Architektouren", under the theme "Building Diversity", will take place at the Bavarian State Ministry of Housing, Construction, and Transport, featuring around 50 impressive projects in a preview exhibition starting June 23. It will showcase innovative and sustainable building methods, concepts for contemporary and barrier-free living, as well as high-quality revitalizations of urban spaces.
The exhibition is open to the public from June 24 to July 18, 2025, Monday to Friday, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, at the foyer of the Bavarian State Ministry for Housing, Construction, and Transport, Franz-Josef-Strauß-Ring 4, 80539 Munich.
