Full-time International Brand Manager Tivantinib (m/ f)

at Daiichi Sankyo in Munich

An exciting opportunity exists to join the European launch team to drive preparations for Daiichi Sankyo c-Met inhibitor Tivantinib, a first-in-class agent for Non Small Cell Lung Cancer, currently in Phase 3 clinical trial and the company’s flagship product in Oncology. Working in a newly forming and globally acting team, you will be the lead person to drive all operational pre-launch and launch planning preparations, as well as being an active contributor towards strategy development across all indications and projects.
We are looking for a motivated candidate to take Tivantinib through to a successful launch and beyond.

As Brand Manager Tivantinib you will be deeply involved in the comprehensive development and implementation of brand strategy and planning, and embedding of a marketing excellence framework across all affiliates. Active partnering of tivantinib to non affiliate markets, and coordination requirements subsequently defined, will also be in scope of this role. Responsible specifically for the implementation of brand strategy, you will be the "owner" of any defined Brand messaging concepts, materials and program efforts during early market, pre-launch, launch and post-launch phases. Contribution will be active towards the build of an DS in Oncology positioning.

In the above role, a close collaboration is required with all functional areas located in the Daiichi Sankyo European headquarters in Munich, the Clinical and Regulatory functions based in London, and with European affiliates and other identified strategic partners.


Key responsibilities:

Contribute actively towards the development of a comprehensive Communications Strategy for the Brand and ensure effective implementation of identified programs
Drive the L-36 (launch readiness) project from a “content owner” perspective across all indications both lead and follow on, coordinating closely with the Regional Launch Coordinator and Project Management functions, in order to ensure excellence in implementation. Coordinate closely with the assignment position to provide relevant insights and best practice learning’s towards the Region 2 affiliates. Fully engage in KPI development, tracking and management both at regional and affiliate level
Responsible for budget planning and monitoring with close integration to Financial Planning and Control support
Manage Congress Strategy and communications for all indications in close collaboration with all functional colleagues, specifically medical affairs team
Provide the link from Marketing to Market Research in order to gain full competitive intelligence position and knowledge in the specific indication and sub population areas, providing the necessary guidance towards Market Research programming
Determine effective resource allocation to optimize overall brand performance and monitor through effective execution of brand plans. Measure results and take correction action as necessary to achieve approved objectives
Provide specific lead with training program structuring for tivantinib with scope across both Regional and Affiliate level.


Requirements:

Demonstrable experience in the management and leadership of marketing projects as well as skills to lead cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
Applicants with experience in the core therapeutic area Oncology is helpful but not considered essential for this specific position
Bachelor´s degree in Marketing or Life Sciences, with a minimum of 3-5 years industry experience in brand management at a key affiliate and/ or European level
Previous experience as sales and/ or marketing roles at an affiliate level
Demonstrable experience with launching a major specialty product in a key market and/ or European context, within a highly regulated environment.
Knowledge of all principal areas of marketing, particularly marketing planning/ evaluation, finance, and the role of field selling and advertising/ sales promotional activities
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and deliver to deadlines
Demonstrate resourcefulness and creativity to reach or exceed the business objectives, in alignment with the global and regional brand strategy
A team player, open minded, flexible, proactive, motivated and willing to learn and develop
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work across all functional areas both within the European and Global environment, to overcome challenges through confidence and strong situational leadership capabilities; outgoing and optimistic personality
Ability to work in both fluent written and spoken English.
